Sri Lanka Tourism to Kick-Off a Series of ‘Live Streaming Programs’

With the Covid-19 pandemic restricting travel across the world, Tourism Sri Lanka is looking at innovative ways to engage with potential travellers. Tourism Sri Lanka will kick off a series of ‘Live Streaming Programs’, sharing engaging content of our many attractions and resources.

The first program is a virtual tour of Minneriya, Kaudulla, Udawalawe, and Yala that would showcase our magnificent wildlife to the world through a wildlife streaming program. The experience will be streamed via Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Burea (SLTPB) sites and via the Minneriya National Parks website which will be known as the first wildlife stream of the series. Kimarli Fernando, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Tourism stated that it is important that the country is prepared to bounce back quickly when the country reopens to visitors as tourism is one of the main sources of revenue for the country. She further stated that there will be opportunities for prizes to be won by viewers overseas.
