Strict Guidelines in Place for All Diplomatic Personnel Entering the Country
Strict guidelines have been put in place for diplomatic personnel entering the country in order to contain and prevent the spread of Covid-19. All diplomats and their family members would have to submit the results of a PCR test done 72 hours prior to arrival or a mandatory test will be completed at the airport. This follows the reported refusal by a United States diplomat to undergo the mandatory PCR test citing diplomatic privileges. The Ministry of Foreign Relations has circulated the revised instructions for diplomatic staff to all mission on 5 June 2020.
