Sri Lanka Tourism Remains Confident Foreign Visitor Arrivals will Pick up in First Half of 2021

With Sri Lanka Airport reopening on the 21st of January 2021 following 10 month closure due to the Covid -19 pandemic the first batch of visitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland have arrived in Sri Lanka. The country has seen foreign visitors trickling into the country gradually with tourism official remaining confident the numbers will pick up over the first half of 2021. Kimarli Fernando, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Tourism confirmed that every effort has been made to ensure that the country is Safe & Secure, with detailed heath protocols and guidelines in place to ensure the safety of all foreign visitors.
