Health Ministry Formulates a Covid-19 Alert Level System

The Health Ministry formulated an Alert Level System in keeping the Covid-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka under control, to help focus on the specific stages of the outbreak. Based on the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 within the country, the ministry will announce current alert levels accordingly. The document signed and approved by Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services outlines four alert levels and the restrictions imposed on each level. The document instructs how private sector offices and public transport can continue to function by following the DREAM guidelines, by adapting as instructed within the 4 levels of alert.
