Ever since the Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka, the response of the private travel sector in Sri Lanka & the UK has been heartening. There has been such a spirit of community and mutual support. Sri Lanka is a resilient island, and the travel sector is a strong one.
Following the welcome news that the UK lifted the advisory, the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) in the UK, have planned a pan-industry ‘Re-Launch Sri Lanka’ evening in London on the 16th July. Travel Gallery and Experience Travel, both strong supporters of Sri Lanka, are the main organisers.
The objective is to get the maximum publicity with the trade, media and to end consumers with a clear message: Sri Lanka is a safe; beautiful; friendly and an inspirational place to travel to, packed with experiences and the industry is waiting for you – everything that it was before the events of Easter Sunday.
The event will be held at the Royal Overseas League, St James’s, London SW1 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday 16th July and they target having 150 people at the event.
